Grammy and Jordan

We had a great 2 weeks of visitors. First, Deb and Tanner flew down followed by my mom and Jordan. It was sad to have my mom and Jordan go. Max now equates his grandparents and uncles with the airport. Maybe that is why he is so fascinated with airplanes, it brings his favorite people back into his life. I couldn't find my camera until the very end of the trip, so there are only a few pictures. Here are some highlights of the visit with my mom and Jordan:

*Feeding the birds, seeing "big Nemos", the tiger, the lion, the gorillas, and the gigantic elephants eating carrots. Max now thinks that carrots are very cool and likes to eat them, thank you elephants!
*Discovering the coolest--and cheapest--bookstore in Dallas that is all of 2 minutes away from where we live.
*Improved Dallas driving on my part. My mom may disagree, but she didn't see me the week before with Deb and Tanner.
*Jordan being greeted by a scary lion (Max) after first getting to our apartment.
*Max running, stopping, running, stopping, running, stopping, etc. with Jordan. Each time getting into a ready position and saying, "On your mark, set, go!"
*White Rock Lake and swinging with Jordan at the park.
*Jordan doing chemistry, honors writing, and calculus homework until 2 AM.
*The grassy knoll and seeing the place where JFK was shot. Okay, it was a quick drive by, but we still saw history.
*Downtown Dallas at night and driving the wrong way down the same one-way street, twice. Tyler was driving, not me. He says the pretty sign that was flashing "Pearl" distracted him and made him miss the "one-way" signs.
*Jordan telling Tyler very politely and calmly that he was driving down a one-way street for the second time followed by lots of headlights suddenly appearing in front of us.
*Opportunities for "muggins" at every red light!
*Deep Ellum. Actually a little disappointing after all the scary stories I had heard about it.
*The juggling waiter and his huge tip.
*P.F. Chang's. Oh wait, we couldn't find it, instead we got the juggling waiter at the giant dead cow head restaurant.
*Mom's craft, the jack-o-lantern. Max likes to have it in bed with him as he falls asleep now.
